I was sort of on the fence about grabbing this mark since it looked so similar to the mark 45 suit. But I love the mark 45, actually I love most all of the Iron Man suits of armor so this was cheap enough not to pass up. This figure is incredible. I don't know if I like it more than the mark 45, but I don't know that I like it less either. The proportions, the paint job, the detail, this is a striking looking figure. So what's in the box:Iron Man Mark XLVI (46)Hand Repulsor Effects L/RFeet Repulsor Effects L/RHand Blast Effects L/RFists L/RFlat Palms L/ROpen hands L/RRepulsor Hands L/R (Blast/Replusor effects peg onto the hands)So the overall standard fair with an Iron Man release, blast effects and hands. I'll take 'em, but could we finally get maybe a Tony Stark head (I know we're getting a Tony Stark S.H. Figuarts later this Fall) or some swappable damaged armor pieces or maybe new blast effects or something? As always the paint is phenomenal, I love the tiny little arc reactors all over the suit and the dark red and gold paint job. I really like the design of this suit and the paint scheme, which Bandai nailed like always. Articulation is on par with the mark 45, we get the legs that pull down at the hip for added range of motion, the arms pull out and away from the body (Bandai included a note this time to beware of paint rub from the arms at the shoulder onto the chest armor) so you can basically get this figure into any pose. Granted the down side is there are still weird gappage issues that Bandai has with this line, so in some poses the aesthetic can be broken by weird cuts in the sculpt for articulation purposes. If you don't have the Mark 45 then this is a great alternative (and currently about half the price) or are a massive Iron Man fan like me, you can't pass this up. Yea it's an import piece so it might be a bit more expensive than it should be and might take a little longer to get here, but it's worth the price and the wait. Having this on display with my other Iron Man suits of armor and with Captain America and Ant-Man SH Figuarts figures looks great. And this line keeps growing, we're getting a Tony Stark and Black Widow in early Fall and by late Fall early Winter we'll get Black Panther and Hawkeye. Bandai's S.H. Figuarts line is making the best MCU figures on the market, this figure comes FULLY APPROVED.
